Black Sheep Presents:

Political Climate Change Community Dinners
1st Monday Evening of Every Month

In response to the political uproar regarding our new president, we will be hosting a free community dinner with featured guest speakers to talk about how we as ordinary citizens can organize for change in our community, state, and country.

We invite you to join us for a free dinner followed immediately by a presentation from our guest speakers.

Monday, March 5th, 2018:

Dinner begins at 7:00 and the talk starts at 7:30 – come early to get a good seat!

Featured Guest Speaker- Bob Massie

This month, we are honored to feature Bob Massie, candidate for governor of Massachussets 2018. Bob is an award-winning author and expert on sustainability and finance. He has created or led several internationally respected organizations including Ceres, the Global Reporting Initiative, the Investor Network on Climate Risk and the New Economy Coalition. The sum of his life’s work reflects Bob’s deep commitment to the core issues of climate change, social and economic justice, and democracy.

At the Black Sheep, Bob will speak about his future vision as governor. He would bring progressive leadership to Massachusetts – leadership that will fight to bring 100% renewable energy and halt the construction of natural gas pipelines, single payer health care, increased wages and benefits, 21st century transportation, and tuition free college to Massachusetts. Under his leadership we will expand and protect the rights of people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, and immigrants.

“It has been important to me for the last 30 years that the Black Sheep have a positive impact on the community. Now more than ever, I feel a responsibility to do what I can to fight the authoritarian regime in Washington. Our monthly community dinners are meant to develop a sense of hope and positive actions that we can take to protect ourselves from the onslaught of ‘low information voters’. At each dinner, we will meet and talk with our neighbors. But we will also hear from high powered speakers about what they are doing to speak truth to power. Remember- sunlight is the best antiseptic.”
